On 11 Nov 2008, we started our session on the uses of blogs, especially on education. Do we want to restrict ourselves in using blogs for journaling? Now we know more can be done on a blog, collaboration among teachers, learners?
I introduced blogger.com today as we have already created our google mail account the day before hence you need not sign up for another account.
Other useful blogsites include wordpress. One distinct advantage of wordpress is the 30 GB storage for attachment. However, we are able to get free file storage services at box.net or mediafire, introduced the day before.
Blogs can be made public or remain as private and this all depend on the purpose of your blogs. With a google/blogger account, you may create more than one blog. In other words, you can create blogs on topics or for different groups of learners. You can invite people to co-author your blog too.
How to create a blog account at blogger.com? You may visit: http://help.blogger.com/
There is also a video (but a bit outdated) on creating a blog at blogger.com
How do we upload video on our blog:
How do we embed youtube videos in our blog.
A video on how you can turn your blog into a podcast?
Still remember how to embed your google docs document (like slideshow) in your blog?
1) You need to publish your google docs document (slideshow)
2) Copy the embed link.
3) Paste the embed link in your blog post.
